The deadline is fast approaching to nominate individuals for the Renton Citizen of the Year program, sponsored by the Renton Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Renton and the City of Renton.

Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, Sept. 14. Nomination forms are available at the City of Renton website, rentonwa.gov, in the Spotlight section, or at the Renton Chamber of Commerce’s website, www.gorenton.com, by following the link to Citizen of the Year.

Forms are available at the chamber office, 625 S. Fourth St.

The program, initially established by the Renton Elks Club in 1969, honors a citizen of the year and typically two outstanding citizens.
