The League of Women Voters will host a forum Wednesday on Proposition 1 in the Aug. 7 election which will select a site for the downtown Renton Library on Wednesday.

Socializing begins at 7 p.m. and the forum follows at 7:30 p.m. at the downtown Renton Library, 100 Mill Ave. S. Proponents of both sides of the issue will be represented, with Citizens for the Cedar River Library site and People for West of the Piazza site attending. Stuart Avery and Beth Asher will speak to the Cedar River group's position, while King Parker, John Galluzzo and Laurie Beden will represent the Piazza group.

The League of Women Voters was going to hold a forum with candidates for the 11th Legislative District, but not all the candidates could attend, so it decided to pick up the library issue, said Alison Feher of the League of Women Voters.
