Renton Police ask public's help to locate Renton man

July 10, 2012 · Updated 11:57 AM

The Renton Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 74-year-old Sam Humphrey, who was last seen on Sunday, July 8.

Humphrey left his residential-care facility at 71 S.W. Victoria Ave. in Renton at about 5 p.m. on Sunday and has not returned home.

Humphrey is a white male, 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds. He has grey hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a heavy white sweatshirt. He was not wearing his classes when he left home.

He is familiar with Renton and will often walk to downtown Renton businesses. Friends and police are concerned that Sam may have suffered a medical problem or been the victim of a crime, since he has always returned home at night prior to July 8, according to police.

Sam does not suffer from dementia but has suffered strokes in the past, according to police.

Anyone who has seen Humphrey since July 8 or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Renton Police Department at 425-430-7500 and refer to case 12-6888.
