Renton Municipal Airport is closed Thursday because of icy conditions that make the runway treacherous, according to the City of Renton.

"We coordinated with Boeing and should have it open tomorrow (Friday)," said city spokeswoman Preeti Shridhar. "Our crews have been at it from last night, clearing the snow and slush from everywhere."

All Boeing 737s take off from Renton's airport.
