Seattle man, Renton woman shot downtown early Friday morning

A 22-year-old Seattle man and a 22-year-old Renton woman were shot, the man multiple times, just after midnight Friday on Wells Avenue South in downtown Renton, according to the Renton Police Department.

The woman was shot once; both victims were expected to survive.

This does not appear to be a random shooting, according to police. Preliminary indications are the shooting occurred outdoors, after an argument or altercation.

The suspects are described as two males in their 20s, one Asian and one White.  They may have left the scene in an older black BMW.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Renton Police Department at 425- 430-7500 and refer to case 11-12392.
