Renton officers converge to search for missing tot, found safe inside store

A 3-year-old boy who went missing for about five minutes in the Salvation Army Thrift Store Tuesday morning in downtown Renton set off a large police search.

Eleven Renton Police Department cars responded to area around the store on South Third Street near the Piazza just after 11 a.m. Officers searched inward toward the store from a number of blocks surrounding the store.

However, the child, who was reported missing by his grandmother, was found inside the store, according to the Renton Police Department.
