A 38 year old woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center after crashing her car into the back of a home in the Lake Washington Ridge neighborhood of Newcastle on Thursday afternoon.

According to King County Sheriffs on the scene, the woman suffered neck lacerations and was extracted from the vehicle by the Bellevue Fire Department, which cut through both pillars on the passenger side and removed both the front and back windshields.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident and none of the four individuals, including three children, inside the house were injured.

A Sheriff told the Bellevue Reporter that medical aids at the scene did not smell alcohol on the driver's breath and officials at Harborview said she is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Residents of the home declined to speak about the incident with the Bellevue Reporter.
