January 6, 2011 · Updated 11:35 AM
Renton, the home of the Seattle Seahawks, will celebrate the Seahawks’ victory as NFC West champions and to cheer them on to the NFL playoffs at a rally Friday in front of Renton City Hall.
The rally is noon to 1 p.m. on the steps in front of City Hall, 1055 S. Grady Way.
The Seahawks will play the New Orleans Saints at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Qwest Field in the first playoff game.
The “12” flag is flying above Renton City Hall and everyone is asked to wear blue and green colors, their best Seahawks spirit costume, and put on their “12” buttons to show their support.
Free hot dogs, free Seahawks cheer cards and prizes for the best Seahawks Spirit are part of the rally.
Among those attending the rally will be Renton Mayor Denis Law, City of Renton employees and special Seahawks guests.
