The body found in the Cedar River early Sunday afternoon has been identified as a 72-year-old Renton man reported missing on April 10, according to the Renton Police Department.

The King County Medical Examiner identified the man as Hryhoriy M. Babshinskiy. His cause of death is pending the results of toxicology tests, according to the medical examiner's office.

However, Renton Police Detective Robert Onishi said in a press release that "at this time, there are no indications of foul play in Mr. Babshinskiy's death."

His body was found in the Cedar River early Sunday afternoon about a mile upriver from the Interstate 405 overpass, according to the Renton Police Department.

The discovery by two teenagers walking in the river in the 3400 block of Southeast Seventh Street was reported to police at about 1:20 p.m.
