Eight films won Curvees at last week’s Renton FilmFrenzy Curvee Awards at IKEA Performing Arts Center. Eleven films were entered in the 50-hour, four-minute film contest. The top eight finishers received Curvees — glass statuettes made by Uptown Glassworks. Cash was also awarded to first through third places in the student and open divisions.

Renton FilmFrenzy was designed by Renton Community Marketing Campaign as a way to promote both Renton and the arts. All 11 film entries were shown during Renton FilmWalk, on two days following the Curvee Awards.

Renton Community Marketing Campaign members hope to continue Renton FilmFrenzy next year — and make it bigger and better.
