The wait is over!

The new Sonic Drive-In opened on Rainier Avenue Friday, July 13.

The Sonic’s development was announced in Summer 2016, according to a previous article.

Though the building currently lacks signs, Friday is the first day of the Renton location’s Grand Opening. It’s located at 741 Rainier Ave. South, in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter.

Part of the Walmart parking lot was sectioned off to guide arriving customers on Friday. The Sonic features a drive-thru, canopied drive-in area and indoor eating area.
