Skyway Outdoor Cinema announces slate of summer movies

Dinosaurs, David Bowie, Feelings and the Force make up this year's crop of free Friday night movies.

Skyway Outdoor Cinema has released its slate of movies for this summer, including three of the biggest films of last year and one classic.

The fun begins Aug. 5 with Pixar’s “Inside Out.” Then, Aug. 12, it’s a flashback to the 80s for the fantasy classic “Labyrinth” starring the late David Bowie.

Aug. 19 brings the second-highest grossing movie of last year, “Jurassic World” followed by 2015 top-grossing movie, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Aug. 26.

The movies were selected through an internet poll from 20 choices.

There will be food trucks and other fun at every showing.

The pre-show gets started at 8pm behind the Skyway 7-Eleven in the US Bank parking lot. Don’t forget to bring a comfy chair or blanket (or picnic table, or beanbag) and some cash for the concession stand (there is a US Bank ATM on premises, if you prefer).

Movie starts at 9 p.m. with a raffle to follow.

Skyway Outdoor Cinema is located at 12610 76th Ave. S., Seattle.
