Renton High student selected to be part of LEAP

Anson Huang was selected among eight other students from across the state to LEAP by WIAA.

Anson Huang, an incoming junior at Renton High School, was selected among eight other students from across the state to LEAP (Leadership through Education Activities and Personal Development Committee) by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.

The committee is in its 11th year and is made up of nine juniors and eight seniors.

These committee members serve as the voice of the more than 225,000 athletics and activities students state wide, a release stated.

Huang and the other juniors will serve a two year term.

The committee will meet five times throughout the school year. The first LEAP meeting is scheduled for Sept. 17.
