Clothing drive benefiting Kentridge High School swim is Sept. 30

Donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and noon at the school, 12430 SE 208th St, Kent.

The Kentridge Girls Swim and Dive Booster Club has joined Clothes for the Cause — a fundraising company that collects clothes in exchange for cash — to raise money for the club.

The club’s clothing and textile drive is accepting new and gently used clothing and paired shoes on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and noon at the school, 12430 SE 208th St, Kent.

In addition to garments, Clothes for the Cause will accept hats, towels, sheets, blankets, quilts,bedspreads, drapes, purses and belts. All items must be dry, clean and in a tied plastic bag.

The drive will not accept glass, breakables, electronics, pet beds, bed pillows, carpeting, throw rugs,uniforms or hotel linens or items previously for sale at a thrift store.

Clothes for the Cause will accept the donations and provide the booster club with the total of itsfundraising effort, measured in dollars per pound.
