Renton's hip-hop band Dave B wins EMP finals

Renton hip-hop band Dave B on Saturday won in the finals of the Experience Music Project’s Sound Off! showcase of local talent.

The band performed "I'm Good."

The band of Lindbergh High School graduates, Dominque Duncan (2012, David Bowman (2010) and Joe Simpson (2013), is the wild-card entry in the Seattle music museum’s competition.

Now in its 12th year, Sound Off! supports the local music scene by giving artists from different backgrounds an opportunity to showcase their work. The competition is for band members under 21.
