January 18, 2013 · 11:46 AM

Renton pub and gathering place, Luther’s Table, will present its special music showcase, “Songwriters in the Round,” Saturday, Jan. 19.

The jam session for local singers and songwriters is at 7:30 p.m. at the restaurant at 419 S. Second St. in Renton. It is designed to be like a “guitar pull,” where musicians sit together and take turns singing whatever they like. It is a three-hour show and provides insight into the artist’s methods, inspirations and experiences. The featured musicians will be Courtney Marie Andrews, Karla Cruz and Rob Kneisler. Of note, Andrews recorded backup vocals for the band Jimmy Eat World and toured with them 2010-2011. Cruz got a Billboard Songwriting Award and Kneisler hails from Michigan and has won many awards.
