Evergreen City Ballet presenting ‘Northwest Works’

Evergreen City Ballet presents its annual showcase for established and emerging local choreographers, called “Northwest Works” this weekend.
Commissioned by the dance company, the showcase features four world- premiere performances.
Featured dancer, Kiyon Gaines, 29, has been invited to create a new work for the second year in a row. Gaines joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2001 and was recently promoted to soloist dancer. Not only is he a dancer, but also a choreographer.
“Northwest Works” also features world premiere choreography by Andi Bryndza, 25; Charmaine Butcher, 17 and Danielle Wilkins, 35.
