Renton resident earns scholarship

Renton resident and Western Washington University senior Cory Budden received a $500 Thomas O. Vassdal Art History Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year.

That scholarship is awarded to one art history major and one design or studio student in the art department.

Budden is the daughter of Scott Budden of Seattle and Susan Budden of Bangor, Maine.

Budden is majoring in art history and plans to graduate next June. She is the Viking Union Gallery coordinator at Western.
