Renton Fire Stations 11, 12 and 13 will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, in recognition of the the City of Renton Fire and Emergency Services Department celebration of 105 years of service. The public is welcome to stop by and tour the fire

stations, meet firefighters and learn more about the many services the department provides.

In addition to the open houses, the City of Renton and the Firefighters Local 864 will host the 2008 FireBall, an evening of dinner and dancingon Saturday at the Spirit of Washington Event Center in downtown Renton. Ticket sales have closed.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Memorial Aid Car Fund, which was established in the early 1970s for the purchase of aid supplies, Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and other equipment.

“We encourage everyone to join us in this special celebration,” said Fire Chief/Emergency Services Administrator David Daniels. “This

Fire Department is proud to serve and protect the residents of this community and these events celebrate the department’s history of dedicated service.”
