Kennydale Lions Club plans Christmas tree sale
November 27, 2008 · Updated 9:30 PM
Kennydale Lions Club will begin selling Christmas trees Sunday (Nov. 30) in the parking lot of St. Vincent De Paul at 2825 N.E. Sunset Blvd.
The sale, the club’s biggest fundraiser, will continue until “we run out of trees,” a Lions’ spokesperson said.
The Kennydale Lions have been selling Christmas trees for 50 years.
This year’s wares include about 400 trees — Douglas firs, sheared and unsheared noble firs, grand firs and spruce — plus tree stands and wreaths. The trees are cut fresh from a Shelton farm.
The sale is 2-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
