Kevin Milo

Kevin Milo, son of Marie and Don Milo of Fairwood, has received his Eagle Scout Award.

Milo is a member of Troop 714, Green River District sponsored by St. Stephens Church.

For his Eagle project, Milo led 20 scouts and friends who volunteered their assistance working two weekends cleaning out the neighborhood creek. They installed signs stating the area is designated a wetland and put in a bench.

Earning the Eagle badge requires earning 22 badges, serving as a leader in his troop and completing a major community service project. Milo has served as patrol leader, attended JLT (leadership) training, Order of the Arrow Ordeal and spent more than 100 nights camping.

Special awards include two Fifty Milers, Kayaking, Scuba, Snorkeling and Swimmer.

He has set an example of leadership and friendship to the other boys of his troop.
