An environmentally themed post by Monique Ouk, an eighth grader at Nelsen Middle School in Renton, has been chosen as one of the winners in the Environmental Science Center's Earth Day Auction Contest.

The artwork will be used to publicize the center's auction on April 20.

The Environmental Science Center delivers hands-on, science-based, education programs to local schools, social service organizations, and community groups.

Proceeds of the  Environmental Science Center’s Earth Day Dinner and Auction will support the center's programs that engage diverse and low-income students through outdoor field trips and advance STEM curriculum goals. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Seatac Community Center. Tickets are $50 per person and can be ordered through ESC’s website at www.EnvScienceCenter.org or contact the Environmental Science Center at 206-248-4266.
