Union works with community group to help local families

Volunteers with the Machinists Union District Lodge 751 have teamed up with other community groups to help low income families in crisis in Maple Valley and around the Puget Sound region.

For the third time, the union has joined with the group Many Communities for the annual March of Diapers drive.

The drive is to collect diapers and wipes to be donated to families living at women’s shelters or to organizations that help low income families including Foster Champs of Maple Valley.

Donations will be accepted through the end of the month. They can be taken to all union halls including the one at 201 A Street SW in Auburn or to Many Communities partner locations including the Red Dog Saloon at 18605 Renton-Maple Valley Road or the Four Corners Bare & Grill at 26905 Maple Valley-Black Diamond Road SE.
