Mattress Firm’s Pajama Bowl raises $114K for foster kids

Mattress Firm’s 12th annual Pajama Bowl was a striking success, raising more than $114,000 to ensure local foster kids can participate in the life-shaping extracurricular activities that make childhood fun and memorable.

Funds raised by Pajama Bowl participants will benefit the Ticket to Dream Foundation, which supports 16 non-profit foster organizations providing “little

“The Pajama Bowl puts a focus on the importance of extracurricular activities and provides funding, where it often lacks, to ensure foster children can participate in life-shaping events,” said Gina Davis, President and Executive Director of the Ticket to Dream Foundation. “We’re thankful for the businesses, families and organizations that showed tremendous generosity at this year’s event. Having fun and giving back is a great way to spend a Sunday.”

More than 600 bowlers dressed in their wildest pajamas to participate in this year’s Seattle and Portland Pajama Bowl events. Attendees won fun prizes during the event, and each member of the winning team received a queen-size Simmons Beautyrest mattress set.

Pajama Bowl events were on April 2 at three locations, ACME Bowl in Tukwila, Brunswick Lanes in Lynnwood, and Big Al’s in Beaverton, Ore.

The winning team from Washington was Gutter Brigade. In Oregon, the winning team was the Tooth Fairies.
