Locksmith Tom Swanson is back in the vacuum-cleaner business big-time, along with his brother Bud.
The Swansons lost their store – A1 Locksmith and Vacuum – and much of their inventory in the devastating fire on Wells Avenue in downtown Renton in June.
Tom Swanson set up shop just around the corner on South Third Street and opted to concentrate mostly on the locksmith side of the business, although he had some vacuum cleaners for sale.
Now, Swanson is again offering a full line of vacuum cleaners, along with service and parts. His brother Bud is coming in on Wednesdays to do some of the complicated repair work, while Tom will do some of the more routine repairs.
Swanson's main line is the Kirby vacuum cleaner.
He did some remodeling to his shop at 715 S. Third St. to accommodate the additional inventory.
Store hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
